In the 2½ hours since I took these, we've gotten another 2 inches of snow. Which is fine if you don't have to go anywhere, but I have a teenager who is supposed to fly down to visit his dad over the spring break. A teen who doesn't like to fly. So we're keeping a close eye on the airport and airline updates.
I want spring to come and stay. I want the bright green buds on the birch trees to appear. The fresh growth on the rose bushes. The shoots of lilies to come up through the ground. The smell of the dirt in the spring, that earthy, rich, moist scent that fills the air.
