The month in review, mostly in pictures.
June 2~ My 48th birthday. I have no problem admitting I am 48. That means I'm just two years away from getting AARP discounts.
A birthday kiss!
A few days later, William went in for dental surgery, to have some stubborn baby teeth removed. His permanent teeth had come in behind them so he had a double row. He was also getting sealants on his permanent molars, having caps checked and some replaced, full x-rays and a thorough cleaning.
Waiting to go back for anesthesia
The next day, when I asked William to show me his mouth, he opened wide!
Sarah brought home a packet of cards his classmates made for him~
June 11~ We celebrated Doug's 19th birthday. William loves helping blow out candles
Wow. 19. How did that happen? I remember when he was just a lil' guy.
At our local Down syndrome group picnic, William loved spending nearly all his time in the bounce house.
June brings beautiful blossoms and butterflies.
I've neglected my rose bushes over the past couple years, but fortunately, they seem to have forgiven me as they burst into color and filled the air with their wonderful fragrance.
On July 20th I ran in my second 5K and this one was USATF certified so it really was 5K.
This was the Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K Run to Cure ALS
My ex-husband's brother Andy had ALS and died a few years ago, so the cause is very close to my heart. Andy and I went to school together and were friends before we became in-laws so I ran this race in his memory.
Robert took William and Sarah to the kids' activities while I ran.
William waits patiently in line for his turn
Getting instructions on Ring Toss...
but William likes his way better
Getting ready to cross the finish line!
Meeting former Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin afterwards
And getting Tim Wakefield's autograph. Tim is Robert's favorite Red Sox player.
Sarah wanted to have some pictures to take to school to make the boys in her class jealous that she got to meet some Red Sox players. Mike Timlin was so sweet to pose with her!
We celebrated Father's Day a little late this year. Jim and Steph got Robert a Mr. Beer kit! Robert was so tickled~ he'd been thinking about getting something like this for awhile!
Now to get ready to recap July!
